Yes, it is really possible to do a Toubkal Trek from Marrakech in just 2 days. It will take only 1h30 drive from Marrakech city to Imlil valley 1740m which is situated in the high atlas occidental. Once you get to this beautiful valley called ( le petit Chamonix du Maroc), you start trekking towards the basecamp 3207m. While trekking, you will pass by the largest village in Imlil valley, which is called Aremd villages 1900m. Then, you will carry on walking uphill to Chamharouch shrine which is a Holy place ( white  Rock). Here, you can stop for lunch near very small & basic cafés. After that, you will keep walking on a steep & rocky ground till you get to the basecamp where you will spend the night at one of the two refuges there.

The next day is the challenge day; you will start very early from the refuge. You will walk uphill via a rocky part, then up to Tizi n’Toubkal that will lead you to the ridge. Then , you will reach the top of Mount Toubkal 4167m from where you will have amazing views.

Here is the itinerary of toubkal ascent in 2 days:

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil  to the Toubkal refuge
Meet at your hotel early in the morning with the guide. Transfer to Imlil, starting point for Toubkal. The luggage is loaded on the mules, and off we go to the refuge. Aremd, small village of Sidi Chamarouch, and by large curves the path goes up towards the refuge. Lunch picnic on the way, prepared by the local team.
Night at the Toubkal refuge (Neltner refuge, 3210 m). Around 5 to 6h walk.

Day 2: summit of Toubkal (4167 m) – return to Marrakech
Climbing the summit, on a good path and good trails, presents no difficulty, except the altitude. The path goes up a steep valley to lead to the wide ridge which leads to the summit. From there, you overlook a large part of the Atlas, the plains of Haouz to the north, Lake Ifni to the south, and an endless horizon towards Ouarzazate and the desert.
The descent is done by the same route and, from the refuge, after lunch, return to Imlil. The driver waits in the village to return to Marrakech and drop you off at your accommodation at the end of the afternoon. Around 10 to 12h walk + 1h30 drive.
