Atlas Mountains day trip

On this Atlas Mountains day trip, we visit Berber villages of Imlil which is composed of small Hamlets. Then, we hike with an English speaking local mountain guide. We will see orchards, waterfall, villages, enjoy lunch on terrace of a guesthouse.

Itinerary:

Pick up from the Hotel in Marrakech around 9 in the morning for a 1h30 drive south up the Moulay Brahim Gorges. then, we pass by Asni where a weekly market takes place every saturday, then to Imlil (1,740m). Imlil valley is set in the upper level foothills of the Western High Atlas mountains. A main trailhead trekking tours to Mt Toubkal and to other valleys. By the way , Mount Toubkal is the highest peak in North Africa and in Morocco.

 

Once we get to imlil, we will leave our vehicle to take a welcome mint tea at a guesthouse. meet our local guide prior to going on a short hike. We walk towards the south to the Berber village of Aroumd, passing the hamlets. We see the jagged Western High Atlas peaks of the Toubkal Massif before us. Then, we continue trekking until the stop for lunch at a guesthouse in the village. It is really an amazing atlas mountains day trip. After lunch we set off back down the other side of the valley back to Imlil and the return trip to Marrakech. Drop off at the Hotel in Marrakech. End of the day trip to atlas mountains, and we hope to see you next time on another adventure.
