The Initial Day: Marrakech to High Atlas and Aït Benhaddou
Your adventure starts early at dawn when you finally bid farewell to Marrakech’s boisterous streets and drive into the stunning High Atlas Mountains. You’ll ride on the nation’s highest road pass, Tizi n’Tichka Pass, and be rewarded with stunning vistas of rock mountains and Berber villages.
Your beginning is Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, an old ksar with its eccentric mud-colored houses. It is a walled town and has been the backdrop for some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters, such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Time to lose ourselves in the old streets and absorb the history of the region.
In the afternoon, the drive goes on to Ouarzazate, also called the Gateway to the Sahara, and on to the rich Dades Valley. You pass through scenic rock formations and take in the stunning “Monkey Fingers” cliffs along the way. The evening is spent enjoying a local Moroccan dinner and overnight stay in an intimate guesthouse.
The Second Day: Merzouga to Dades Valley and Camel Trekking
Following a sumptuous breakfast, the group moves on to Todra Gorge, a breathtaking canyon with limestone cliffs looming overhead, a climber’s paradise. There is time to walk along the river and take in the untainted beauty of this natural wonder.

The Third Day: Sunrise in the Desert and Return to Marrakech
Early start to experience a never-to-be-forgotten Sahara sunrise. The early morning quiet is one which will never fade from memory. Following breakfast, camel back return to Merzouga to resume the return trip to Marrakech.
The return trip is over interesting landscapes, with many stops for photos.
