Walk through the Medina of Tunis, a UNESCO-listed heritage site composed of a labyrinthine network of narrow alleys, lively souks, mighty historic mosques, and traditional houses. The Bardo Museum is a must-visit place, as it’s famous for its magnificent collection of Roman mosaics. For dinner, enjoy an authentic Tunisian meal in a local restaurant.

Head to the ancient city of Carthage to trek through the ruins of the once-mighty Phoenician city. In Carthage, visit the Antonine Baths and Byrsa Hill for some breathtaking views of Gulf of Tunis. Head next to Sidi Bou Said, the charming village famed for its white and blue architecture. Enjoy your mint tea in a café with a view of the Mediterranean sea.

Moving forward to Douz, with the epithet “Gateway to the Sahara.” Here, you will get to experience some camel rides across the dunes and spend the rains in a desert camp under the stars.
