1st Day: Arrival in Kathmandu

Your trip to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, begins your adventure. Overnight stay at a hotel and trek briefing to prepare you for the adventure that lies ahead. Explore the city’s cultural sites and have dinner at a Nepali restaurant.

2nd Day: Flight to Lukla and Trek to Phakding

A heart-pounding 30-minute flight from Kathmandu brings you to Lukla, the entrance to Everest. You walk from there thereafter through villages of scenic beauty and forests of good density along the Dudh Koshi River to Phakding.

3rd Day: Namche Bazaar Trekking

The trek is a gentle ascent to Namche Bazaar, the lively center of Khumbu. There will be suspension bridges high up to cross and an entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. Namche provides excellent vistas and the first sight of Everest.

4th Day: Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar

In order to acclimatize yourself with the altitude, you spend one day at Namche. Go up to Everest View Hotel and observe a lovely panorama of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, or do some shopping from the local market and museums.

 5th Day: Tengboche Trek

There is a beautiful road to Tengboche, where the famous Tengboche Monastery is located. The religious and cultural site offers excellent views of Everest and other mountains, especially sunrise and sunset.

6th Day: Dingboche Trek

You walk from Tengboche with rhododendron woods and small Sherpa villages. A small village named Dingboche provides stunning views of Island Peak and other Himalayan giants.

7th Day: Acclimatization Day at Dingboche

Yet another acclimatization day lets you trek to Nagarjun Hill for awesome views of Makalu, Lhotse, and the Everest range.

8th Day: Trek to Lobuche

The trail gets steeper as you go up towards Lobuche. You go through the Thukla Pass, which is a memorial for the mountaineers who died on Everest.

9th Day: Everest Base Camp Trek and Back to Gorak Shep

This is the day you have been waiting for, when you finally arrive at Everest Base Camp, beneath the world’s highest mountain.  From this achievement, you return to Gorak Shep overnight.

10th Day: Ascend to Kala Patthar and Hike to Pheriche

Hike in the early morning to Kala Patthar to have the best panoramic view of the sunrise on Everest. Descend to Pheriche later.

11th to 13th Day: Down to Lukla via Namche Bazaar

Return via the Khumbu Valley, familiar scenery and villages. Your final night in Lukla.

14th Day: Departure from Kathmandu
