Experience an unforgettable 3-day Toubkal Trek from Marrakech and discover the spectacular landscapes of Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains. This adventure takes you from the mountain village of Imlil through traditional Berber villages and the beautiful Aït Mizane Valley to the Toubkal Refuge at 3,207m.

The highlight of the trek is the ascent of Mount Toubkal at 4,167m, the highest peak in North Africa. After an early start from the refuge, climb through rugged mountain terrain to the summit and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the High Atlas, Marrakech plain, Anti-Atlas and, on clear days, towards the Sahara.

With an extra night at the refuge compared with the 2-day itinerary, the 3-day trek allows for a more gradual experience, with time to enjoy the mountain scenery and summit without having to complete the entire descent on the same day.

The trek finishes with a descent to Imlil followed by a transfer back to Marrakech.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil (1,740m) – Toubkal Refuge (3,207m)

Your Mt Toubkal climb starts with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. From the city, travel towards the spectacular High Atlas Mountains and the mountain village of Imlil, located at 1,740 metres.

From Aremd, continue towards the famous sanctuary of Sidi Chamarouch, dramatically built into the mountainside beside the river. Take a moment to appreciate the peaceful surroundings and nearby waterfall before continuing your ascent.

The trail gradually becomes steeper as you make your way deeper into the High Atlas towards the Toubkal Refuge, situated at 3,207 metres. Once at the refuge, settle in, enjoy dinner and relax in preparation for the following day’s summit adventure.
