ITINERARY:

 

Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca airport.

Transfer to a Hotel for overnight.

 

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Fes.

Today you will start your best of Morocco tour. you’ll leave the modern coastal energy of Casablanca for the historic heart of Morocco, stopping at the elegant capital of Rabat before settling into the medieval wonder of Fes. You will make some stops in Rabat so as to see some interesting landmarks in this ancient town in Morocco.

Day 3: Free day in Fes for sightseeing.

 

Step back into the Middle Ages with a guided morning exploration of Fes el Bali, the world’s largest car-free urban space. Navigate a dizzying labyrinth of narrow alleys where the air is thick with the scent of spices and cedarwood. As you dodge donkeys laden with goods, you’ll discover the city’s architectural gems: the recently restored Medersa Bou Inania and the exquisite Medresse el Attarine. Pause at the Funduk Nejjarine, a stunning 18th-century traveler’s inn, before witnessing the raw tradition of the leather tanneries and their iconic colorful dye pits. End your morning at a local ceramics factory to see artisans molding clay using centuries-old techniques.

Day 4: Fes – Merzouga dunes.

Embark on a soul-stirring journey toward the golden expanse of the Sahara. While the drive is long, the landscape is a shifting tapestry of majestic kasbahs and verdant palmeries—lush oases of date palms and hidden orchards. Along the way, you may cross paths with nomadic tribes, the free-spirited wanderers of the desert who live in harmony with the open sky. After traversing rugged mountains and the frontier outposts of Erfoud and Rissani, you’ll reach Merzouga—a village that feels frozen in time against the towering orange dunes of Erg Chebbi. Leave your heavy bags at camp and mount a camel for a rhythmic trek into the dunes to witness a sunset like no other. Your day ends under a canopy of North African stars with a traditional fireside feast at your desert camp.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorge.

Wake before dawn to climb the nearest dune and witness a breathtaking Sahara sunrise. After a traditional breakfast, leave the sands behind and head toward the dramatic Todra Gorge. Along the way, stop at the El Khorbat oasis museum to delve into the region’s rich history. Your destination is the stunning Todra Valley, where ancient mud-brick villages cling to the hillsides amidst a landscape of lush green palms and wind-sculpted rock formations. To truly connect with this remarkable scenery, you’ll spend the next two nights here, beginning with a gentle walk through the local farmlands to see valley life up close.

 

Day 6: Free day in Todra.

Enjoy a day of complete freedom in the breathtaking Todra Valley. For those eager to explore, we highly recommend a guided hike through the towering gorge and over a nearby mountain pass. The most popular 10-kilometer circuit offers a manageable 4-hour trek for those with a moderate fitness level. Led by a local guide, you’ll traverse ancient trails, pass traditional Amazigh villages, and take in sensational views of the surrounding mountains and the distant Rose Valley. A true highlight is the opportunity to share lunch with local women in their traditional mud-brick kasbah—a rare glimpse into a culture that has remained largely unchanged for centuries. Alternatively, you can choose a slower pace, lounging by the hotel pool and soaking in the views of the lush palm groves and soaring limestone cliffs.

 

Day 7: Todra – Kasbah Ait Benhaddou.

Today’s southward journey is a visual feast, winding past sun-bleached kasbah ruins, historic military outposts, and dramatic mountain ridges. Your first major stop is Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” which served as the backdrop for classics like Lawrence of Arabia and Black Hawk Down. If time permits, you can even step onto the sets at Atlas Movie Studios. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, a majestic clay fortress that once anchored the trans-Saharan salt trade. Explore the winding alleys of the grand kasbah with your leader before settling in for the evening. To top off the day, enjoy a quintessential Moroccan feast of slow-cooked tagine and fluffy couscous, prepared by your hosts at the guesthouse.

Day 8: Kasbah Ait Benhaddou – Imlil valley.

This morning, ascend the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass, reaching heights of 2,260 meters as you cross the spine of the Atlas. The drive is a visual symphony of snow-capped peaks and valleys blooming with wildflowers. Your destination is Toubkal National Park, home to the highest summit in North Africa. At the end of the winding road lies the peaceful village of Imlil, a place that perfectly captures that “far-from-home” magic. Here, you’ll be immersed in traditional Amazigh culture, spending the night in a cozy guesthouse at the very foot of Mount Toubkal, surrounded by panoramic mountain views.

 

Day 9: Imlil valley – Essaouira city.

Start your morning with a crisp hike through the terraced villages surrounding Imlil. As you navigate winding mule tracks and ancient Amazigh settlements, you’ll be treated to the raw, dramatic beauty of the High Atlas landscapes. For lunch, settle in for a traditional, slow-cooked tagine prepared by a local family—a meal made even better by the sweeping mountain views.

In the afternoon, trade the peaks for the coast as you journey toward Essaouira. This historic fishing port is a visual masterpiece where sandstone ramparts meet whitewashed walls and brilliant blue skies. Known as a haven for artists, the town boasts a rich multicultural history and a legendary bohemian charm that once captivated icons like Orson Welles and Jimi Hendrix.

The evening is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Wander through the sea-scented medina, watch the sunset over the dunes, or sit down to a feast of world-class, dock-fresh seafood.

Day 10: Essaouira

 

Free day in Essaouira for sightseeing or shopping, or to play some water sports such as surfing. Overnight

 

Day 11: Essaouira – Marrakech.

 

You will be picked up from Essaouira and drive towards Marrakech. It will take around 3h drive. Check in at your hotel in Marrakech.

 

Day 12: Marrakech

 

Today, you will be going on a guided walking tour in the old town to explore some interesting monuments such as Bahia Palace, Badi Palace, Saadien tombs, Koutoubia Mosque, Jamaa El fna square, and much more.

 

Day 13: Marrakech

Day 14: Departure
