3 days berber villages hike

This 3 days berber villages trek in the high atlas mountains is a lifetime experience. Moreover, you will spend three days discovering the high Atlas Mountains on foot. A hike amidst cool vegetation of juniper and pine trees is a perfect way to unwind.

 

On day one:

you will be picked up from your hotel in Marrakech, and drive towards the high atlas mountains. It will take around 1h30 drive. Once you reach imlil valley 1740m, you will be met by our english speaking guide who will lead you to a guesthouse where you will have a welcome mint tea and you will check the route of our berber villages trek on the map. After that, you walk from Imlil towards Tinerhourhine and pass Tamatert. You’ll stop for lunch on the high mountain pass of Tizi ‘n Tamatert 2280m. Continue on to Ouanesekra-Tamguist and arrive at Tinerhourhine, where you’ll spend the night in a local lodge. Approximately 4 to 5 hours of walking.

 

The next day:

after an early breakfast, you will leave from Tinerhourhine and walk along the Imnane Valley. You’ll pass the Berber village of Ikkiss. Then, you cross the river so as to follow a trail uphill  to Tizi n’ Aguersioual pass from where you will get wonderful views over Imnane valley & Imlil valley. You will keep walking downhill to Aguersioual village 1680m; then follow another rough road that will take you to Matate village where you will stop for lunch. Later on, keep walking uphill via a trail to Tizi oudid pass from where you will enjoy nice views over Azzaden valley. After a short break on the pass, you trek downhill to the village of Ait Aissa  where you’ll spend the night at a local lodge. Approximately 6 to 7 hours of walking.

 

On day 3:

After having an early breakfast, we will leave from Aït Aïssa village,  and walk towards Tizi Oussem village. we will pass by Tizi Mzik pass and the village of Mzik before arriving back in Imlil valley where we will have lunch.. Approximately 4 to 5 hours of walking. Then, transfer back to Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Day 1:– Imlil 1740m – Tizi n’Tamatert pass 2289m – Tinghrine village 1800m.
the village of Imlil to start your trek. Walk from Imlil towards Tinerhourhine and pass Tamatert. You’ll stop for lunch on the high mountain pass of Tizi 'n Tamatert. Continue on to Ouanesekra-Tamguist and arrive at Tinerhourhine, where you’ll spend the night in a local inn. Approximately 4 hours of walking.

Day 2: Tinghrine village 1800m – Tizi n’Auguersioual pass 2100m – Aguersioual 1680m– Tizi Oudid pass 2100m – Ait Aissa village 1800m.
Depart from Tinerhourhine and walk along the Imnane Valley. You’ll pass the Berber village of Ikkiss and enjoy views from Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in Morocco. Continue on to Tizi n’ Aguersioual and lunch at Matate. At the end of the day, you'll spend the night at a local inn in Aït Aïssa. Approximately 6 to 7 hours of walking.

Day 3: Ait Aissa village 1800m – Tizi oussem 1900m – Tizi Mzik pass 2489m – Imlil 1740m – Marrakech.
Depart from Aït Aïssa and walk towards Tizi Oussem. You’ll pass by Tizi Mzik and the village of Mzik before arriving back in Imlil. Approximately 4 hours of walking. you’ll be taken back to your hotel at the end of the tour.
