Mgoun Trek
The MGoun is situated in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. It is part of the province of Ouarzazate from an administrative standpoint. The Assif Mgoun, a tributary of the Dades, begins at the foot of the mountains and runs into the Assif Dades, watering the rural village of Ighil not Oumgoun up Kalaat M'gouna. The peak of Mgoun is made up of a ten-kilometer-long ridge that approaches or exceeds 4000 meters. This is, in fact, a ridge anticline. A limestone disk is visible at the surface. Glaciers shaped its northern flank during the Quaternary ice ages, resulting in fourteen valleys oriented perpendicular to the ridge today. The Ighil Mgoun is a popular trekking destination for hikers, albeit it does not hold the same esteem as the Toubkal. Because of the mountain's modest elevation and lack of ice, accidents during its ascent are uncommon. However, three hikers over the age of fifty were killed when they were caught off guard by a snowfall in September 2005. We suggest the following 6 days mgoun trek itinerary: Day 1:Drive from Marrakech to Agouti In the morning, we transfer by minibus to Agouti There is
