Tour Plan

Day 1: Marrakech – Oukaimeden – Tizi n’Eddi Pass – Tachedirt

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Marrakech. From the city, we drive south into the High Atlas Mountains towards Oukaimeden (2,600m), Morocco’s highest ski resort and one of the most spectacular mountain settings in the region.

After approximately two hours of driving, you meet our local mountain team and begin your trek. The trail climbs gradually towards Tizi n’Eddi Pass (2,928m), where you are rewarded with magnificent panoramic views across the  dramatic peaks and valleys of the High Atlas, including the beautiful Imnane Valley.

After a picnic lunch along the trail, we continue our trek with a long descent towards Tachedirt, one of the highest villages in the High Atlas.

Here, you will settle into a traditional local lodge and enjoy a well-earned evening surrounded by mountain scenery.

Walking: approximately 5–6 hours
Drive: approximately 2 hours
Overnight: Tachedirt

Day 2: Tachedirt – Tizi n’Aguersioual Pass – Imlil Valley

After breakfast, we leave Tachedirt and follow the trail down through the spectacular Imnane

Valley. The route takes us through several traditional Berber villages, including Ouanskra, Tamguist and Ikkis, offering an authentic glimpse into everyday life in the High Atlas.

We then cross the valley and begin climbing towards Tizi n’Aguersioual Pass (2,045m). From the pass, enjoy beautiful views over the surrounding mountains and the green Imlil Valley below.

From here, the trail descends steadily towards Imlil, the main gateway to Mount Toubkal. After lunch along the way, we arrive in the valley and check into a comfortable local lodge for the night.

Walking: Approximately 5 hours
Overnight: Imlil

Day 3: Imlil – Sidi Chamharouch – Toubkal Refuge

After breakfast, we begin our ascent towards the heart of the Toubkal National Park. Following the Aït Mizane Valley, the trail winds through traditional mountain landscapes and gradually gains altitude.

We pass through Sidi Chamharouch, a small mountain settlement and pilgrimage site dramatically positioned beside the river. From here, the trail becomes increasingly rugged as we continue towards the high mountains.

After lunch along the route, we continue climbing towards the Toubkal Refuge (3,207m), our base for the summit attempt. Surrounded by towering peaks, the refuge offers an unforgettable mountain setting.

Walking: approximately 5–6 hours
Overnight: Toubkal Refuge

Day 4: Toubkal Refuge – Mount Toubkal Summit – Toubkal Refuge

Today is the highlight of your adventure: the ascent of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), the highest summit in Morocco and North Africa.

We rise early and begin climbing from the refuge. The trail ascends steadily through rugged high-altitude terrain, with the landscape becoming increasingly dramatic as we gain elevation. After approximately three hours of climbing, we reach the summit of Mount Toubkal.

From the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the High Atlas Mountains, with a vast landscape of rugged peaks and valleys stretching in every direction. After taking time to celebrate the achievement and enjoy the scenery, we begin our descent along the same route back to the refuge.

Lunch and a well-earned rest await us at the refuge before spending another night in the mountains.

Overnight: Toubkal Refuge

Day 5: Toubkal Refuge – Imlil – Marrakech
