Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and Transfer to Maasai Mara

Your safari adventure officially starts with the pick-up in Nairobi, the vibrant capital of Kenya. You subsequently have a picturesque drive to world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Along the way, there are occasional views of the Great Rift Valley before your arrival at your affordable safari camp or lodge. Late afternoon provides a brief game drive with the first glimpse of Kenya’s majestic wildlife, featuring lions, elephants, and cheetahs.

Day 2: Maasai Mara Full-Day Game Drive

A day in Maasai Mara guarantees good animal sightings. Pack some lunch to bring and hike through the colossal grasslands of the park to see the Big Five, namely the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.

You can even see with your own eyes the great Migration from the months of July through October.  This is the season when thousands of zebras and wildebeests move from Tanzania to Maasai Mara by crossing the Mara River. Return to the camp for dinner and have a relaxing night under the sky full of stars.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Lake Nakuru

Rise early to go on an early morning game drive, one of the best times to witness predators hunting. Grab some breakfast, and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park in the afternoon. The park is famous for its flamingo-fringed shores and rhino sanctuary. A game drive here mirrors spot sights of white and black rhinos, giraffes, and leopards. Spend the night in a low-cost lodge or camp near the park.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park from Lake Nakuru

Morning breakfast and a last game drive in Lake Nakuru before heading off to Amboseli National Park on the Tanzanian border. Amboseli National Park has huge herds of elephants and the scenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro. A late afternoon game drive is taken on arrival and overnight stay at a budget camp or lodge.

Day 5: All-Day Game Drive in Amboseli

Spend your day spotting the wide-open plains of Amboseli to have the chance to be intimate with the free-roaming elephants with Africa’s highest peak being their backdrop. Other animals to spot here include lions, zebras, hippos, as well as some bird species. Don’t miss visiting the Observation Hill to be treated to vistas of the park before heading back to the camp to retire with a good night’s sleep.

Day 6: Early Morning Safari and Trip Back to Nairobi

Make a final game drive in Amboseli early in the morning and back to Nairobi. Along the way, enjoy Kenya’s scenic beauty. On arrival in the city, you can either tour Nairobi attractions or head to the airport for departure.
